Unbuilt Structures

Around the year 2008 and 2009 I started walking through the street of miami when I currently lived there and found many of the city blocks have been under constructions, these projects were stop some for months and nearly a year or more, the weeds moved in, the rain stain the unfinished walls, and somehow these filled with activities and marketing promises transform themselves , I turn my lens to these areas and started photographing these sites, there were once familiar and enigmatic , this began a search were I started documenting what I now call the unbuilt Structure it is a point of transition between what one begins and what ends with. One point of transition in this state of being one felt with promise, because of its lack of completion and open for many readings from many different perspectives, The images presented explored the elements of light, volumes, drama, including traces of human activities that creates ambiguity somehow, they convey reference to antiquity.
