Underwater Series II Liriopes

These images were photographed on 4x5 black & white Tri-x film. The beauty of Liriope leaves is their calligraphy qualities they posses and how they behave under water. It was difficult to work with them, but with a lot of patience I was able to create a whimsical and organic forms resembling Asian characters.
